AI-generated avatars take over Twitter

If you didn't spot any AI-generated avatars over the weekend, it's because you either live under a rock or you were actively blocking "AI-avatar" in your Twitter feed.

But what happened exactly?

It all began with Pieter sharing that he has built a "mini" product to help you generate AI avatars called AIAvatar. Within the first 24 hours of launching, that same mini product went viral and generated $10,000 in revenue.

That same day, another indie entrepreneur Dann shipped one more tool called ProfilePicture.ai.

In the famous "build-in-public" style, they both found out that people will pay sweet bucks for a product like this.

Why the sudden interest?

Well, who doesn't want to be seen as a goddess (the prompt I tried, duh) or a beast with a six pack?

If you make your user the star of the show, then you're bound to find the end of the rainbow eventually! 🌈

How do they generate the avatars?

They combine Stable Diffusion and DreamBooth. If Stable Diffusion creates images from text, DreamBooth helps the model to personalize the results with your photos.

But the hardest part of creating a good AI-avatar image is having a good prompt and setup -- and that's why these products did so good. They've already perfected a few styles and all you need to do is add your photos!
