3D scenes from eye reflections 🤯

Researchers found a new way to recreate 3D scenes using reflections in people's eyes.

They used camera images and smart techniques to remove the iris' texture, making the reflections clearer.

This process wasn't easy because they had to accurately account for the unique shape and texture of each person's eye. They tested their method on different eye colors and were able to successfully recreate 3D scenes.

This shows we can use eye reflections to "see" things outside the camera's direct view - which is mindblowing!

This means we're getting closer to actually having a chat with our furry friends! The study is done with bats - very interesting watch.

🏋🏻‍♀️  German tabloid “Bild” cuts 200 jobs to prepare for the digital AI era. They said that some jobs will be replaced with AI. They believe that AI would soon be better at the “aggregation of information” than human journalists and said that only publishers who created “the best original content” – such as investigative journalism and original commentary – would survive.
